About
What is this all about?
This blog is all about the life of Clare Jamal O’Brien and her quest to learn to serve humanity. She takes instances from her life to illustrate her thoughts on Spiritual reality. She uses analogies from her love of football (soccer). She also explores the relationship between football and Faith through various stories. The blog is inspired by Clare’s love for the Baha’i Faith with her studies (football and medical sciences). The blog has a very international flavour. Clare grew up in Alaska. When she was 17 years old she left home in order to go on a youth year of service to Tanzania in order to help with the development of the Baha’i community there. When she was 18 she decided that she was going to stay in Tanzania and go to a local University in Iringa, Tanzania so that she could continue to help bring unity to an environment still segregated on color-lines. She was the first white university student to attend the Institution. Due to repetitive diseases and lack of proper medical treatment in her region Clare decided to move to Kenya continue her education. She graduated with her Undergraduate degree from USIU, Nairobi in 2005. After graduating Clare moved to England to continue her education and graduated with a Masters in African Studies (football) in 2005. Since 2005 fall Clare has been working on her PhD in between the departments of Social Work and Medical Sciences. These are the insights into her life.
